Geese at the Rhine

This year, it seems to me like we have more geese at the Rhine than before. And they start loosing their shyness - as soon as people stop to look at them, they come looking for food.

Very cute. Here, on the finger lakes, at some beaches if you sit down, the ducks walk right up onto your towel and beg for food and you can pick them up.

Looks like they are raising their young on the Rhine as well ... We also have several geese in the area and they have lost their fear of humans.

I love those geese. Only ones I've seen lately are Canada Geese. These look like the ones in the nursery rhyme books!

Agree with Micki: Like straight from a children's book. Lovely! Maybe I would have liked to see them a bit closer, but probably that wasn't possible, either because of your lens or the distance.
