Spargelessen (Asparagus Lunch)
We're right in the middle of the asparagus season and I noticed that I haven't posted a photo about it yet. On Monday, right before I left to Paris, my parents-in-law invited us over for lunch and prepared a huge amount of asparagus for us - you can probably tell that I love asparagus! Very often you get it served with fresh ham but we had filets instead together with potatoes and Sauce Hollandaise. Yummy!P.S. I'm back from Paris again! Thanks so much for visiting and commenting while I was gone and big thanks to my dear hubby for posting my photos during these days!!! I'll have some photos of my Paris visit on my other blog soon.

what can I say...this brings back a lot of 'eating memories'....really, this is a very typically German 'Sunday' Table.... Again, I get hungry when I see this! Please eat some Spargel for me!!
food pix, you know we love them Nicola..and we don't usually have white aparagus here although I have seen them once in a while in those really upmarket shops

That is a beautiful table, I can't remember how long it's been since I ate at a table set that nicely.
I had spargle when I was in Cologne a couple of years ago. It did taste just like spring should taste.
As other commenters have said - this certainly brings back some memories...

Asparagus. Mmm I'm an addict and so's my daughter. White or green, it doesn't matter. It only lasts a few seconds on out table.
