Animal costumes
Besides all the witches, cowboys or clowns that are out there every year, I've seen more animal costumes than before this time. Has there been a movie recently about rabbits or dogs? That is usually a big influence for the costumes of a season. Maybe it's just easier to keep warm this way (especially for the parades...).

can't think of any movies lately with rabbits :-D but then again, I have not been an ideal movie goer lately either. Do these people buy these costumes or rent them, most of the time? are rental costumes stores big in Germany?
I'll see what I can do, Karine. I'm actually going to a parade on Monday. Let's see how the photos turn out...
Maya, you can only find rental stores in the bigger cities, like Wiesbaden, Mainz or Frankfurt for example. The also rent out evening gowns and bridal dresses (but those are a bit more excentric from what I've seen). I think a lot of people either buy or design the costumes themselves.
