Vineyards - ready for spring

Before the vine starts growing leaves soon, the old branches get cut off except one or two (depending on the style of the winegrower). The reason for that is to concentrate the "power and juices" of the vine for the grapes once they start growing on these branches.

Bob - Hurray!

Cynthia - that's actually a great idea - I'll keep that in mind. And yes, this is a Riesling vineyard (as most of them are in the Rheingau).
