Sunset in Geisenheim

This photo is taken in a small bay in Geisenheim, looking downstream towards Rüdesheim and Bingen. The Rhine flows on to the right, building the natural border between the two states Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate. During Napoleon's era this was even the border between France and Germany.

Is it dusk or dawn? It is beautiful. Interesting to know it was the border once. I wish I could visit this part of Germany sometime in the future.

Looks really nice...the sort if of place you can wind down at the end of the day just sitting there watching the sky..is it as peaceful as it looks ?

Thank you all for your nice comments.

Carlos - it's dawn. Yes, come and visit. There's a lot to see here... :)

jasp - it's almost always that peaceful ;). But it's definitely a nice place to hang out and relax.

Karine - I still haven't decided and I was told to wait maybe a bit longer to see what new cameras show up after the CeBit (a technology fair here in Germany)...
