Ships on the Rhine


Since the days of the Roman Empire the Rhine has been a vital navigable waterway, carrying trade and goods deep inland. Here you can see coal being shipped upstream.

Thanks Dean! No, I was not on a boat. The Rhine isn't very wide at this point and I was able to help it a bit with my zoom :).
