Blaubach in Geisenheim
One of the things I really like about Geisenheim is that the town included this little creek called "Blaubach" into the townscape very well. Most other towns in the Rheingau have covered their creeks up so you don't see them anymore.

Hi Nicola, I came late for the lunch but it is a beautiful food shot...and I like today's photo too, a part sunny part in the shade photo, very tranquil...
does it get full from last weeks snow-melt? are there creatures swimming along this creek? :-P

maya - it's not that full yet. In our region the snow is gone. We just get snowmelt water in the Rhine from the Alps. We had more rain lately, so that might fill up the creeks a bit more...
As for the creature, well... I have my silly moments ;-P... just teasing you. I actually don't know. There might be some water rats but I haven't heard of any problems. As you can see the water is kept pretty clean as well so it doesn't smell in summer...

I find you live in a very beautiful region. I like this small old streets (alte Gassen), but I have one question : one see nobody on your pictures. It is right that we in germany not have the right to photography people on the streets?
perle de rosee - I guess it's more about me being shy of photographing people. Other reason might be that I'm mostly out there taking my photos when there are just simply not that many people around (like early in the morning or during lunch break)... As for the right of taking pictures of people, I guess it's the same as everywhere else...
The Blaubach was one of my favorite things in Geisenheim. My family is from there and we used to visit when I was a kid. Beautiful picture!
