Winery Signs in Johannisberg

Driving through any village in the Rheingau, you'll notice these kinds of signs outside of houses showing that these are wineries ("Weingut"). All of them are happy to invite you for a tasting (but it's usually better to call ahead and make an appointment).

Don't see signs like that here. I think everyone keeps their wine to themselves! :) In response to your question: no, our grapes won't be harvested until late September, early October.

Lovely combination of different buildings, detailed signs & decorative plants.

Also really enjoyed: Cherries, Sunset over Winkel, Wonderful Rainy Dinner, Swan on golden water & Windeck and St. Hildegard Abbey.
