Fleischwurst

Another dish you'd often get at wineries - boiled Fleischwurst (meat sausage) with potato salad. The little package on the side contains mustard. Quite a hearty dish but goes well with wine, too.

My grandma cooked this food all her life for her family, as my grandpa was from a German background. My Dad would kill for this meal now! Looks great!

I'd pass on the sausage (which I don't often do) but the Kartoffelsalat looks really good!

hmmm...my question is: why do they boil the sausages? are they never grilled instead? I'm curious to know why people find it better boiled...:-)
