A decorated house next to the christmas market in Rüdesheim. Don't ask me why there is a rabbit hanging from the fairy lights... From this perspective it even looks as if it is sitting on the roof. Maybe someone got mixed up with the seasons? ;)

Of course there are numerous things you can buy at a christmas market, like these little candlelight houses (I have no idea, what their real name is, though... do you?). Everything to get you into the christmas mood. :)

Christmas Market in Rüdesheim

Another pretty christmas market is the one in Rüdesheim which is maybe a bit more "professional" since it's open everyday during the christmas season (not like others which just open for the weekends). And... I've had the best Glühwein of this years' season here ;)!

Boat awaiting the next season

It's not really the season for boat trips and cruises on the Rhine right now, so most boats just have to wait for Spring and the next season. The boat on the photo is the "River Queen", equipped like a hotel with restaurants and guest rooms for a journey on the Rhine.

Kurfürstliche Burg Eltville in Advent

Parts of the christmas market in Eltville were also hosted in the courtyard of the Kurfürstliche Burg, a bit more quiet though.

Still at the christmas market in Eltville I loved how the ivy has overgrown one of the old buildings of the winery.
