Wine in September
Soon the wine harvesting is going to start (some areas have already started, actually). Looking at the grapes I'd say it's going to be a good year, quantity-wise. Not sure about the quality yet - we'll have to wait and see.
I was in Germany, not far from you (for a bit) this summer, and mostly in Amsterdam, then in Italy. It was VERY hot, up to 40c. I think that will be a big boost to the more northernly vinyards such as in Germany and Alsace. Those grapes look utterly beautiful. Riesling?
